Hi, I’m ClÉMENCE.
I am French-American by birth and a global citizen at heart, driven to create impactful change at scale. As an ESG Global Associate Partner, my focus is on supporting Echo Eight Investments (E8) to acquire, partner with, and scale profitable businesses providing goods or services through sustainable means or with business models that directly foster positive social and environmental impact. My portfolio ranges from green-tech companies tackling reforestation, food security, water treatment, and waste management to health and education businesses promoting gender equality.
E8 represents a dynamic, global network of investors, business growth advisors, and tax and legal specialists working to acquire, partner with, and/or scale profitable businesses. We collaborate with lenders, family offices, and investment firms to achieve capital-raising goals.
I believe that by promoting circular economy principles, the investment community can encourage innovation and responsible resource management. I am particularly interested in working with women-owned businesses and am dedicated to addressing the gender gap for women-led SMEs seeking financing.
Prior to joining E8, I dedicated over a decade to leading humanitarian and development initiatives in reproductive health and rights, as well as gender-based violence. I held leadership roles in various NGOs and UN agencies in complex settings such as Honduras, Senegal, Ukraine, Syria, and Mozambique, where I managed teams, oversaw large-scale operations, and contributed to strategic planning and capacity building. I also co-founded a non-profit organization dedicated to spreading the entrepreneurial mindset in Central America.
MPH & BA in Intl. Political Science: I hold a Master of Public Health from the University of Copenhagen (Denmark) and the Andalusian School of Public Health (Spain), as well as a Bachelor’s degree in International Affairs from the University of Georgia (USA).
Languages: French and English are considered my mother tongue, but I am also fluent in Spanish and Portuguese. I am happy to hold meetings in these languages!
On a personal note, in my free time I enjoy traveling, cooking, drawing, learning about different topics through books, podcasts, YouTube, and documentaries, and volunteering.
